My client recently retired and moved to her dream home on the lake. She wants her bedroom to reflect the serenity and nature that surround her.

For as long as I can remember, when the holidays come around, I get to crafting for family, friends, colleagues and teachers. Here are some of my favorite gift idea DIYs that we've done on the blog over the past year.

I am thrilled to be featured on one of my favorite sites, Houzz, today! If you are not familiar with Houzz, it's is like Pinterest for home design (clouds open, angels descend...it's awesome).

Us Pinterest craft mavens recently convened over hand-stamped totes and napkins. This project was easy and so much fun with endless possibilities!

I have been asked to give the wonderful teachers of The Museum School of Avondale Estates a break room redesign.

When I first did this eDesign plan for my clients, their house was still in blue print phase. It is so fun to see it begin to materialize!

The walls of my home are relatively neutral, but I chose this bright teal for an accent wall in my kitchen.

Two little boys needed a room to play and do their homework. I was working with Cristi Holcombe on this design and she suggested a gallery wall with the boys' art.

I mean, who doesn't love Pinterest? Only people who have never been on, that's who. It still feels like summer here in Georgia but I am doing my part and wearing corduroy and suede to encourage cooler temps. It will work by this weekend, I'm sure of it.

This month's Pinterest craft group was on a mission to save our coffee tables from those [back of the hand to forehead and with your best southern accent] "unsightly beverage rings."

With a little elbow grease and a few dollars we updated this entryway to something that truly says, "Welcome home!"

I love a new project! The new ideas, the possibilities... the intricate puzzle begins! Every room and every family has different needs, goals and tastes.

For the last couple of weeks, I have had the pleasure of working for Chip Wade. I can't tell you what this particular project is or show you any real images (super secret photo stylist spy stuff), but it has been a blast and he could not be nicer.

My daughter is a girly girl. You may remember her princess party last year. That was her in her essence. So when she told me she had changed her mind and now, instead of a fairy birthday party, she wanted reptiles, I was taken aback but super excited for a break from pink frills.

When my clients decided to update their dining room, we started by taking the palette from warm to cool with lovely grays and blues.

Sometimes I drive to other neighborhoods to run so I can look at their houses. I realize this is sort of creepy and you can bet if I saw a stranger straining his/her neck to look at houses on my street while s/he ran, I'd be alerting the Neighborhood Watch.

Everyone wants a cozy place to read, you know, for that moment when the kids are playing quietly by themselves, the dishes are done and email is caught up. Until this divine moment happens, I have this lovely nook to walk past.
