Merry Christmas Wrapping!
When someone says they have their gifts purchased and wrapped by September, I generally want to punch her in the face. Now, I love gift giving - the shopping, the wrapping, everything! - but I like to do it in the weeks just before Christmas, mostly on account of my procrastination and such.
Give them a Break(room)!
I have been asked to give the wonderful teachers of The Museum School of Avondale Estates a break room redesign.
Kid's Bright & Lively Art Station
The walls of my home are relatively neutral, but I chose this bright teal for an accent wall in my kitchen.
Children's Art Gallery Wall
Two little boys needed a room to play and do their homework. I was working with Cristi Holcombe on this design and she suggested a gallery wall with the boys' art.
My Most Popular Fall Pins
I mean, who doesn't love Pinterest? Only people who have never been on, that's who. It still feels like summer here in Georgia but I am doing my part and wearing corduroy and suede to encourage cooler temps. It will work by this weekend, I'm sure of it.
Slithery Slimy Reptile Party
My daughter is a girly girl. You may remember her princess party last year. That was her in her essence. So when she told me she had changed her mind and now, instead of a fairy birthday party, she wanted reptiles, I was taken aback but super excited for a break from pink frills.
"Who's the best mom?" "DADDY!" And other tales...
Happy Mother's Day! Taking care of little people is a lot of work.
Toddler Bedroom: Just Add Robot
I have collected vintage (and vintage looking) robots for years. When the doctor said, "It's a boy!" I knew his room would showcase my robots.
A Cowboy's Birthday
My grandfather was a real cowboy in Oklahoma and always had a love of horses. We rode his horses and even competed with him in rodeos when we were young, so when the doc announced to us,”it’s a boy!” I knew a cowboy party would be in his future.
Playroom Plan for Boys
I am working on an eDesign plan for a playroom that is visible from the living room of my clients’ house.
Curious George Party
Last weekend we pulled out the stops for our favorite monkey…our 3 year old, Caleb!
Pretty Peacock
My girl magically transformed into a peacock with a simple handmade costume that took me no more than an evening to create.
Robot Party
My lil fella turned 1. He's not old enough to tell me what kind of party he wants and vintage robots make me swoon. Enter, Caleb's 1st Birthday Party! (Heads up: It's intergalactic)
