My client had a basement that was filled with a hodgepodge of furniture from her previous house. It was comfortable and lovely but she wanted it to have a lot more life and be a space that was much more conducive for her family of 6 and their friends to have movie night and play games. Our color palette was army green, blue, and yellow with a touch of coral. With that, we had a blast with fabrics—that dot on the ottoman made us swoon from the start, so we reupholstered her ottoman in that and added a big tray for drinks and a plant and whatnot (#protip: always leave room for the whatnots).
