Decatur Sunrise: The Most Elegant Powder Room You Ever Did See

This little powder room, located off the main hallway on the first floor of my clients’ home, needed a bit of sprucing up so it could fit in with the rest of the house that had received an elegant makeover.

So I added wainscoting to the bottom half of the walls and painted it a serene blue. I selected this gorgeous wallpaper in a scalloped print that is so detailed, it actually looks textural. When you touch it (which you’ll definitely want to do), there is no texture, but the craftsmanship of the soft gold design makes it look like it’s catching light in varying depths. Truly stunning.

The accessories are a study in contrast, with a sculptural gold mirror, sleek and elegant sconces, and light and ethereal artwork. New marble tile floors add elegance and a touch of luxe that elevates this tiny afterthought of a room to a real show-stopper in its own right.
